From Amy Lemley:
Letter of Intent for FY 07-08: All counties should submit their letter of intent to Cynthia Guilford at CDSS by December 1st. This letter should include the following information: (1) number of youth to be served (2) THP-Plus base rate (3) estimated budget (4) date of implementation (5) provider or process to select provider. As discussed on the 24th, this letter is not binding. CDSS will use this information to develop its 07-08 budget.
Proposition 1C: The voters of California approved Proposition 1C on Tuesday, generating $2.5 billion for affordable housing. Of that total, $50 million will be set aside for projects that assist former foster youth. These funds will be administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, which will issue a Notice of Funding Availability in January. The THP-Plus Statewide Implementation Project will notify you when this is issued and will be developing materials to help in the application process.
THP-Plus Implementation Guide: This document circulated at the October 24th training is available to download on the John Burton Foundation website: www.johnburtonfoundation.org
You may also request up to 10 printed copies by emailing Amy Lemley.
