Self-Sufficiency
ACAP defines Self-Sufficiency as the combination of jobs for employable family members, affordable housing, and childcare when needed, for individuals or families, so that their household incomes equal or exceed their minimum household expenditures. To determine this, all clients enrolled in ACAP programs must be first determined employable within the contract year, assessed as to job preparation and support services needs, and trained in family budget preparation at entry and at time of employment.
