FYA Training on Cultural Competency: Nov. 8th
 
The next FYA Professional Development training will focus on the topic of Cultural Competency. The training will be held at the ILSP Office, 2647 International Blvd, Suite 312, Oakland, on Tuesday, November 8th, 9:30-12:30.

This training is a joint project of FYA, Seneca Center, and Chabot FKCE. To RSVP, email Amy Freeman at afreeman@fosteryouthalliance.org or call 510-444-4025, x235. Coffee and snacks will be served.

 
FYA Brown Bag Lunch for Management: Nov. 10th
 
Space is still available for the next FYA Brown Bag Lunch for Management Staff, which will focus on the topic of Leadership Skills. The lunch will be held on Thursday, November 10th, 12:00-2:00 at Ross House, Conference Room of Casey Family Programs, 485 Ninth Street, near the 12th Street BART station, Oakland. Participants should bring their own lunch.

ILSP Recruiting Holiday Families for Emancipated Youth

UC Berkeley Application ‘Cram Nights’
 
The ILSP Aftercare Program and MINDS (Multicultural Initiative for the Negotiation of Diversity & Support Services) are hosting “UC Berkeley Application Cram Nights” for students applying to UC Berkeley. The cram nights will be held on Friday, November 18th and Saturday, November 19th from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Student Learning Center, Rm 100 Cesar Chavez, UC Berkeley, and on Monday, November 28th and Tuesday, November 29th, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Laney College, 900 Fallon Street, Room F-170B, Oakland. Conscious Youth Media Crew (CYMC) and YO! proudly present their newest film shorts. Come see the best of up and coming, young Bay Area filmmakers

HEY! Night 2005: Nov. 3rd
 
HEY! Night 2005 - Uniting for Youth: Thursday, November 3rd, 2005 from 6PM - 12AM @ Mighty, 119 Utah Street. Fundraiser to benefit HEY and Friends of San Francisco ILSP. Book Release Party: Nov. 4th
 
The San Francisco Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership and co-hosts are hosting a book release party to celebrate the publication of SFCIPP Coordinator Nell Bernstein’s book All Alone in the World: Children of the Incarcerated and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ passage of a landmark resolution endorsing the Bill of Rights for Children of Incarcerated Parents. The party will be held Friday, November 4th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Soluna Café and Lounge, 272 McAllister Street at Larkin. RSVP to info@sfcipp.org.
