Help the Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Below please find a letter from Congresswoman Barbara Lee about how you can help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Dear Friends,

My thoughts and prayers tonight are with the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida thousands of people have lost their loved ones, their homes, their security and their livelihoods.

This disaster will disproportionately affect people in low-income communities, some of whom did not have the means to evacuate.

Our support is urgently needed by people whose lives have been devastated by one of the worst storms to ever hit the United States.

You can help now by making a donation to one of the disaster relief groups listed below. Thank you in advance for your help. If you have any questions please feel free to call my office at 510-663-1207.
